Born in 2005 as a solo project of Marco Chiappini, it developed through the sounds and the years and now it is a prog rock/ambient duo with an EP out, called "Mind The Gap". If you like Pink Floyd, first Porcupine Tree and Nosound, you should check them! At first it was just Marco's hobby to write songs in order to express himself: rough instrumental tracks ranging from progressive rock to ambient and electronica. The three genres combined together are the sound of Gandalf's Project. An ethereal yet powerful soundscape to relax and dream on. Emiliano Pedruzzi, bass and 7 strings guitar man, delivers great riffs and lots of innovative ideas to the songs, bringing the mixture of genres even beyond. But words are useless, just listen to the songs and get your own opinions!
